Small business grants
There are a few resources that can give you all the grants that the federal government will allow you to apply to. Here are a few you may want to review and see if they have any information for you to start your small business.
The first one that has probably from what I can tell the most comprehensive list of federal grants it is a website. This website is easily navigated and is very useful when you are looking for a grant. The website http://www.federalgrantswire.com/ as I stated before has to be one of the best websites I have been able to find when looking for grants for small businesses.
There is another place for the people of Hawaii to look when they want help in finding and assistance in getting a grant and that is the Small Business Innovation Research Assistance Program. What this program is suppose to be designed to do is assist people who are looking for a grant and live in Hawaii.
This program will assist you in finding a grant that best suits your needs and the best ones that you qualify for. The Small Business Innovation Research Assistance Program also has a website that you can go to that will better explain what they are and what they can do for you and your business. That website is http://www.htdc.org/sbir/about.asp and it seems like it a pretty easily navigated site as well so there should be no problem getting you on your way to getting the funding that you are looking for. Just a little reminder grant money is not without its cost there are requirements and information that you have to be able to provide at any given point and time.
Also, you may want to consider how many people are applying for the exact some grant that you are so there is a good bit of competition that goes along with grants. So, even if you were able to find the grant or grants that are best suited for you there is still a possibility that you will not receive the funding so do not count on that money until you actually receive it. The other factor to remember is these things take time to go through the entire process they can take up to a year if not longer to be able to receive the funds. If you do not feel your business in Hawaii can wait that long you may want to consider other avenues that would offer a quicker solution.
